I also have step and adopted parents on my trees BUT- NOT in the place which should be occupied by biological parents. There is always a facility to place second and third wives ( and more if your ancestors were so inclined) and their ancestry on a tree. I do this all the time. The point that I was making is that these 9 people have made a mistake simply by copying information and not verifying it.Sharn Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12322295467277564960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8172940830246247875.post-81632371194255838732011-01-03T22:51:50.812-08:002011-01-03T22:51:50.812-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Sharn Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12322295467277564960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8172940830246247875.post-26373837980128343452011-01-02T07:00:43.839-08:002011-01-02T07:00:43.839-08:00Sharn...I have chosen your blog to receive the Anc...Sharn...I have chosen your blog to receive the Ancestor Approved award. Once it's incorrectly listed on a public tree - you've seen how quickly it can spread. I think the site is very dangerous for those with little experience or little knowledge of their background. Very scary.Kelliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16279175109169179291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8172940830246247875.post-37577950802284502022010-12-14T04:18:27.753-08:002010-12-14T04:18:27.753-08:00Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with your comments a...Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about accepting other's research as fact without doing your own verification in my family I have various step mothers and step fathers. I research these lines because they are still my family. They may not be blood relations but they do impact on how my ancestors were brought up, their values and their lives. This is especially true for the "closer generations". My father didn't know his biological grandfather as he died before he was born but he was very close to his step-grandfather.Carolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00404559829478023570noreply@blogger.com
